COVID-19

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses which may cause respiratory infections ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The most recent disease is COVID-19. As South Africans move from lockdown 4 to 3 on 1 June 2020 it will allow more Employees to return to work and Employers are allowed to once again open their Businesses. This is not the new normal, as per The Occupational Health and Safety Act of South Africa, Organisations would need to implement a COVID-19 Policy, Procedures to protect and prevent Employees from this pandemic they would additionally need implement new forms for traceability on all who enters the Organisation as well as re-evaluating risk assessment management.
